Salary
$48/hour ($144 per class night)
Salary compensates for 3 hours of instruction time per class and class admin duties.
Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for an Adjunct NCCER Instructor at NEFBA Apprenticeship Program in Jacksonville, FL. The Adjunct NCCER Instructor will be responsible for teaching NCCER curriculum to apprenticeship program participants, which includes lesson planning, delivering instructional materials, evaluating student progress, and ensuring adherence to program standards. The instructor will maintain records, assess skills, and provide guidance to support the skill development of apprentices preparing for careers in construction and related fields. Collaboration with program staff and consistent communication will also be key aspects of this role to ensure a seamless and effective learning experience for students.
Qualifications
- Minimum of four years of televent experience in trade seeking to teach (Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC, or Plumbing)
- Journeyman level experience
- Leadership experience
- Effective Communication skills to engage and guide apprentices
- Ability to work well with a diverse group of students and staff
- Must attend NCCER craft instructor training (on-site and no cost to you)
