Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients and engineers to define project requirements and objectives.
- Develop project plans, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure successful project execution.
- Oversee all project phases, including design, installation, programming, commissioning, and closeout.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- Lead and motivate project teams, including controls technicians, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Provide clear direction, assign responsibilities, and manage project resources effectively.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment, promoting professional growth and development.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Address client inquiries, provide project updates, and manage client expectations.
- Identify opportunities for additional services and project expansions.
- Ensure that controls and BAS systems are designed, installed, and programmed to meet project specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct quality inspections and testing to validate system performance.
- Implement and maintain robust quality control processes.
- Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Review and approve project expenditures, change orders, and vendor invoices.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, specifications, drawings, and as-built documentation.
- Provide regular project status reports to internal stakeholders and clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the controls and building automation systems field.
- Strong knowledge of building automation systems, control systems, and related technologies.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
