The HVAC Design Coordinator will report to the Director of Engineering & Design and will be responsible for coordinating project designs using advanced Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare HVAC permit and design documents.
- Create HVAC shop drawings through careful project coordination.
- Develop HVAC as-built documents.
- Conduct site visits for coordination.
- Attend project coordination meetings.
- Collaborate with project management and field staff to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Support the design team with modeling and adherence to project standards.
- Lead project coordination meetings as needed.
- Manage and distribute coordinated digital documents to the project team.
- Integrate BIM with the construction administration phase for submittals, construction models, shop drawings, and schedules.
- Create Revit assemblies based on project requirements.
- Provide assistance for electronic file submissions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; a college degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of HVAC design experience.
- Proficiency in Autodesk software, including AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
- Experience in construction or trade work is a plus.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, with a self-starter attitude that is both goal-oriented and customer-focused.
