What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing House Supervisor position at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center?
House Supervisor 2 days/week (Mon 7a, Tue 7p); ER RN 1 day/week (Fri 7a)
The House Supervisor on duty, in the absence of Administration, remains the on-site administrative authority with provision available for access to the Hospital Administrator on Call.
The House Supervisor will:
- Review and adjust staffing as needed to meet defined patient needs, productivity standards, and unusual occurrences.
- Coordinate hospital registrations and transfers.
- Provide nursing care in the Emergency Room as needed.
- Provide leadership to nursing personnel.
- Assist with coordination with OPO for organ / tissue donation.
- Make rounds to all patient care areas and remain knowledgeable of patient care needs.
- Coordinate the hospital’s response to disasters and other situations requiring a coordinated response when needed.
- Ensure the provision of services and supplies to patients as needed.
- May be required to float to patient care areas as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
- BSN preferred, but not required.
LICENSE / CERTIFICATION / REGISTRATION:
- Current Kansas RN License
- BLS - Obtains RQI BLS certification within appropriate quarter (approximately within 3 months of hire), maintains quarterly RQI requirements.
- ALS- Obtains RQI ALS certification within appropriate quarter (approximately within 6 months of hire), maintains quarterly RQI requirements.
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience as a Staff Nurse required.
- Background in a Supervisor / Management position and/or capability through previous experience is preferred, but not required.
- Computer experience preferred or ability to learn computer operation within 3 months.
