What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Coding Analyst position at Nesco Resource?
Nesco Resource is partnering with a well-established Medical management company that handles two of the largest hospitals in Queens. They are searching for a Medical Coder Analyst to join their team.
Job Duties
- Analyze provider documentation for accurate diagnosis and procedure coding.
- Validate outpatient service area codes, ensuring productivity of 90-100 charts daily.
- Code inpatient, ASU, and surgical charts, maintaining productivity of 65 charts daily.
- Review work-queues for accurate CPT and HCPCS charge codes.
- Stay updated with billing and coding guidelines.
- Assist physicians in assigning appropriate CPT codes.
- Understand coding guidelines and NCCI edits for Part B billing.
- Maintain patient confidentiality per hospital policy.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
