Job Description:
We are looking for a Lead Buyer Associate (LBA) to support our Unite/Clearance Direct business and 1 LBA to support our Inline (NSO/NDDC) Direct business as a part of the North America Consumer x Marketplace Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for entering the weekly/seasonal buys for USA Direct into SAP for a designated Consumer x Field of Play. These roles require the ability to partner with our NA Merchants, Planners, and Allocators to ensure accurate/timely buys for the USA. Strong communication
skills, teamwork, and attention to detail are critical to the role’s success.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We’re looking for a North America (NA) Lead Buyer Associate who enjoys working with data and product in a fastpaced team environment. This role’s primary responsibility is to partner with our NA Direct Buyers to manage and enter the weekly/seasonal buys for USA Direct into SAP. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a deadline driven environment and is proficient with MS Excel at an intermediate/advanced level. We’re also looking for a standout teammate with strong communication skills.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
If this is you, you’ll be working with Buyers, Planners and Allocators (and other cross-functional teammates) to ensure the buys for USA Direct are accurate, timely and complete. You will support Direct team needs, including order entry, contract moves, and price maintenance, where applicable. You will also investigate and maintain Direct product information through various systems in support of the Buying organization. A typical day/week includes partnering with the Direct Buyer team, in-system data entry/management, responding to multiple emails/requests and attending various meetings.

This is the matrix: You will report to NA Consumer x Marketplace Operations, yet you will work very closely with NA Direct Buyers, Planners and Allocators. In your role, you will serve as the key contact for all buys placed in SAP on behalf of USA Direct.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree in Business or an equivalent
- 1-2 years relevant work experience, preferably in a data intensive role
- In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, a minimum of 3 years relevant experience may be substituted
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with MS Excel at an intermediate/advanced level is preferred
- Ability to work in deadline driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and process orientation
- Experience investigating, capturing and maintaining product data in an information management system or
- complex database is preferred
Comments for Suppliers:
Notes: Parental coverage for a Lead Buyer Associate in Merch Ops. This will be a data heavy processing role, they are not a decision maker. The core responsibility for lead buyer associates is inputting seasonal planning in Excel and SAP, and placing POs for retail stores and .com. In between seasons they will move product by placing SAP and excel orders.
Looking for someone wanting to learn from merch teams and how they operate
Must Have:
- 2 YEO in a role processing tactical and data heavy work
- Moderate excel skills - Vlook up, pivot tables, basic formulas. Can take an excel sheet and translate it to what the system will accept for purchase orders
- Has worked in a buying environment - knows how product purchases and merchandising flow
Nice to Have:
- Some familiarity with SAP
- Is excited about data and being in the weeds of data
- Similar experience in retail or corporate, brand familiarity, knows style numbers and buying strategy
