Description
As a part of the Manufacturing Leadership Team this role will provide leadership in the areas of Production Equipment and Facility maintenance. The Maintenance Supervisor will be accountable for production related equipment repairs, performance, and availability. This role will work together with the Engineering Team to provide support for new equipment installations and upgrades.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential duties and responsibilities of the Maintenance Supervisor include but are not limited to the following:
- Supervises the Maintenance Team.
- Provides leadership on maintaining and promoting a safe work environment.
- Manages and schedules maintenance work orders and preventative maintenance assignments.
- Accountable to maintenance KPIs
- Responsible for monitoring and tracking of production line and support equipment reliability.
- Accountable for MRO parts procurement and maintenance budget management.
- Oversees the spare parts inventory and organization.
- Development of Preventive Maintenance procedures.
- Management of the CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System).
- Works closely with the Engineering team and Plant Manager on projects and initiatives.
- Supports production and safety projects and initiatives.
- Responsible for all facility and infrastructure maintenance.
- Oversees training and certification for all maintenance team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accountable for the supervision of the maintenance technicians and maintenance support staff (fabricator, purchaser)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Technical and practical knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems.
· Experience in managing a manufacturing maintenance team/department.
· Familiarity and experience in maintenance KPIs
· Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and mentor employees.
· Excellent writing and verbal skills – lead presentations to groups and train others.
· Effective communication with your team, peers, and management.
· Experience in computer tools – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CMMS platforms
· Proficient in analysis and collection of data.
· Innovative and creativity in solving problems.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- 4-year degree or equivalent (preferred)
- 5 years of technical experience in electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and facility repairs.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Must be able to read, speak, and understand English.
