Job Title: Certified Sterile Processing Tech
Location: Aspen, CO
Shift Time: Day shift, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Duration: 13 weeks|40 hours
Weekly Gross: $1,800/wk - $2,000/wk
Must Haves:
- Min 2 years of Experience as Sterile Processing Tech.
- Must have CRCST, or CER. Bilingual in Spanish preferred
Responsibilities:
- The Sterile Processing Department (SPD) Technician cleans, disinfects, and sterilizes all instruments used for surgical procedures and patient care,
- Performs all daily biological and sterile supply testing and maintains logs for each, functions throughout the facility to organize and direct instrument needs to units
- Assists clinical operations as needed with endoscopy procedures, stocks and orders supplies for unit as directed
- Will be responsible for understanding and being fully involved in completion of competencies based on AVH policies,
- AORN, AAMI, HSPA, and CER standards that are used as guidelines for SPD practices.
- The SPD Technician will be an active member of the entire department, with the ability to help in roles outside of surgically specific job duties if needed.
- The SPD Technician will work collaboratively with others within the department to ensure an efficient, professional, and respectful environment.
- The SPD Technician will work with other departments as well in regards to patient safety and communication.
