NEUROPSYCHOLOGY: CLINICAL ASSISTANT & PSYCHOMETRIST
Neurobehavioral Associates announces an employment opportunity for individuals interested in working with clinical neuropsychology adult populations. All work is conducted under the direct supervision of a board certified neuropsychologist (licensed psychologist). This position involves a variety of clinical and administrative activities, such as:
· Maintenance of testing materials.
· Test administration.
· Scoring test protocols.
· Documentation of test behavior.
· Referral and file management.
· Oversight of office functions, such as scheduling, monitoring authorizations, and communications with referral sources.
Through assessment (testing) activities, there is substantial interaction with patients with known or suspected brain-behavior dysfunction. At present, the position is .75 FTE.
Qualifications:
· Preference is given to candidates with (a) psychology and/or cognitive-neuroscience education, and (b) some graduate-level psychology coursework, with some exposure to psychological testing (BA required; Masters-level preferred -- in psychology or related field). While beneficial, prior experience specific to neuropsychological tests is not required.
· Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.
· Strong interpersonal skills are necessary, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, referral sources, and co-workers.
