About this Role
In this role, you will :
Provide clinical outpatient evaluations to a diverse patient population.
Collaborate with a referral network of neurologists, psychiatrists, psychologists, and primary care physicians.
Engage in forensic work (civil and federal) focused on neurocognitive and psychological assessments related to personal injury, disability, workers' compensation claims, and other legal matters. This may involve conducting comprehensive evaluations, including record review, clinical interviews, neuropsychological testing, and report writing. NSG has a notable background in evaluating former NFL players and NCAA athletes for concussion-related settlements, providing a foundation for expertise in these areas, including experience with workers' compensation cases. This may involve serving as an expert witness in legal proceedings, providing testimony based on your evaluations. NSG will provide training and supervision, and provide graded experiences, for neuropsychologists with limited forensic experience.
Qualifications
Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA- or CPA-accredited program.
Completion of an APA- or CPA-accredited pre-doctoral internship.
Completion of a formal two-year postdoctoral residency in neuropsychology aligned with Houston Conference and APPCN training guidelines.
Active license to practice psychology in the state where you will be practicing.
Board certification in clinical neuropsychology through ABPP is strongly encouraged and will be supported.
Experience conducting evaluations and providing expert testimony in worker's compensation cases is highly desirable.
