Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, entry-mid level Lab Technician to support specimen handling, supply ordering, DNA and PBMC extractions, and cell culture and reprogramming in our clinical laboratory. This role is critical to ensuring smooth, reliable testing operations while maintaining the highest standards of specimen integrity and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure sample traceability: receive, log, and accession clinical samples per laboratory protocols
- Verify specimen integrity, labeling, and documentation
- Coordinate proper storage and tracking throughout the testing workflow
- Prepare and ship collection kits to patients and healthcare providers
- Order, receive, and maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and materials
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery and issue resolution
- Monitor and track all shipments using various courier services
- Follow up on delayed, missing, or undelivered shipments of collection kits, specimens, and supplies
- Follow up on missing or incomplete paperwork and sample issues
- Perform DNA and PBMC extractions on clinical specimens
- Perform cell culture procedures, including media changes and cell reprogramming
- Follow all established SOPs and maintain compliance records
Shift: Tuesday–Saturday!
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Life Sciences - a must
- Previous laboratory experience is - a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift packages up to 25 pounds
- Extended periods of standing, sitting, and computer work
- Manual dexterity for handling specimens and packaging materials
