What are the responsibilities and job description for the EEG Tech position at Neurology Center?
Responsibilities:
- Perform EEG (electroencephalogram) tests on patients to record electrical activity of the brain - in office and ambulatory
- Prepare patients for EEG procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort
- Apply electrodes to specific areas of the patient's head and scalp
- Operate EEG equipment and monitor the recording during the procedure
- Recognize and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise during the test
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret test results
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, test results, and any observations made during the procedure
Experience:
- Previous experience as an EEG Technician or in a related field is preferred
- Knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and diagnostic evaluation techniques
- Proficiency in operating EEG equipment and software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
