What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Office Assistant (Willing to train) position at Neurology?

We are an independent private practice. Seeking energetic individual responsible for scheduling new patients, assisting with patient treatments, collecing money, balancing collections, assisting office staff with different task, speaking with pharmacies, doctor's offices and patients regularly, as well as other administrative duties. Position requires excellent communication and collaboration skills. Must be comfortable working on multiple projects and shifting priorities. Medical Office Experience preffered

Salary

  • Pay ranging between $14-15.00 per hour based on education and experience

We're looking for a full-time medicalmadministrative assistant who is detail-oriented, has strong computers skills, and the ability to multitask.

We're looking for a Medical Office Assistant with the ability to:

  • Greet and check in patients
  • Verify insurance
  • Collect co-payments and payments on the phone
  • Schedule patients for appointments
  • Call in prescriptions
  • Answer patient phone calls
  • Balance end of the day collections
  • Process referrals
  • Work very closely with our patients and assist in their treatments

The ideal candidate will have prior work experience in a medical office and a college degree (preferred, but not required). We need someone that is able to work in a team, as you will be working closely with therapists, nurse practitioners and medical doctors.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING:

  • High School graduate or equivalent required
  • Associate Degree in management or medical field
  • Experience in PracticeFusion EMR & Updox is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
