The NeuroMedical Center Rehabilitation Hospital is in search of a prn physical
therapist to work in the inpatient rehabilitation setting.
Responsibilities:
The physical therapist must be able to effectively complete comprehensive evaluations,
establish treatment plans of care and provide appropriate physical therapy treatments to patients with
a variety of neurological diagnoses and impairments. The focus of physical therapy in inpatient rehabilitation is
to maximize each patient's recovery and level of functional ability including but not limited to: neuromuscular
recovery (through neurorehabilitation) and functional mobility skills improvement (bed mobility, transfers,
ambulation, wheelchair mobility, etc...) including the use of assistive devices as needed.
This position also requires effective communication skills to provide continuity of care between therapists and
treatment sessions, to educate, and train caregivers, and to provide an interdisciplinary team approach to each
patient's care.
Qualifications:
Must be a Physical Therapist with a current Louisiana license.
