Overview

The Director, Corporate Compliance will lead the company’s compliance function, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and alignment with organizational goals. This role is responsible for developing and executing the compliance strategy, managing day-to-day compliance activities, and overseeing a team of direct reports. Reporting to the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, the Director will play a key role in shaping the compliance program and maintaining a strong culture of ethical practices.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and oversight for the Company’s compliance program to ensure regulatory adherence and support business objectives.
  • Manage the daily operations of the compliance function, including supervising one or more direct reports and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure compliance across both Neuronetics and Greenbrook TMS operational controls, policies, and procedures, maintaining alignment with corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the compliance training program, including the development, delivery, and tracking of compliance education initiatives.
  • Address complex compliance issues and provide guidance to teams across Sales, Marketing, Customer Operations, Clinical, and Product Development.
  • Prepare compliance reports and updates for the Board of Directors, including risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
  • Develop, implement, and update corporate compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Monitor and manage compliance activities such as hotline reporting, policy adherence, and regulatory updates.
  • Stay current on regulatory developments impacting the healthcare, life sciences, and medical device industries and ensure timely adaptation.
  • Promote a culture of compliance and ethical decision-making throughout the organization.
  • Other duties as needed or required. 

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare, life sciences, pharma, or medical device compliance frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of the Anti-Kickback Statute, Open Payments, HIPAA, physician contracting, private and public insurance billing, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and strategic thinking skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, including the ability to present complex compliance concepts to executive leadership.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and compliance monitoring tools.
  • Proven ability to navigate regulatory challenges with a pragmatic and solutions-oriented approach

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (e.g., JD, MBA, or equivalent) preferred.
  • 15 years of experience in corporate compliance within a combination of healthcare, life sciences, pharma, and medical device industries.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and managing compliance programs, including leadership experience.
  • Experience with compliance integration during mergers or acquisitions is a plus.
