We specialize in serving children, adolescents, and young adults ages 4–21, offering programs such as IIC therapy, BA services, play and art therapy, and family support across the state of New Jersey. Position Summary

The Behavioral Health Operations Manager is responsible for leading, coordinating, and improving the operational efficiency of Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare’s clinical and support programs. This role ensures that all services are delivered effectively, in compliance with state and agency regulations, while supporting staff training, performance development, and quality assurance.

The Operations Manager acts as a bridge between administrative, clinical, and executive teams—developing systems, workflows, and staff capabilities that strengthen organizational growth and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management

  • Oversee the daily operations of behavioral health programs, ensuring seamless coordination of IIC, BA, and other related services.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of all operational areas, ensuring the stability and effectiveness of our organizational infrastructure at all times.
  • Manage scheduling, staffing, and program logistics across home-based, center-based, and telehealth sessions.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate operational workflows and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborate with HR and Clinical Leadership to manage staff assignments, workloads, and compliance with performance expectations.
  • Track service utilization, authorizations, and program productivity metrics.


Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure compliance with state licensing requirements, insurance regulations, and agency policies.
  • Support audits, chart reviews, and documentation accuracy (including ECW and other electronic systems).
  • Implement corrective action plans and monitor adherence to quality standards.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client information.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of federal, state, and local laws governing Behavioral Health Services, ensuring all practices align with relevant legal requirements.
  • Oversee and coordinate incident reporting, ensuring timely documentation, investigation, and resolution in accordance with agency policies and regulatory standards.


Program Coordination & Communication

  • Serve as an operational leader and liaison between internal departments to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of client services.
  • Facilitate communication between therapists, families, and partnering agencies.
  • Support the development of policies, workflows, and documentation templates.
  • Assist in evaluating program performance and identifying areas for process improvement.


Technology & Systems Oversight

  • Support implementation and optimization of case management systems.
  • Work with IT and administrative teams to troubleshoot user access, data entry accuracy, and reporting functions.
  • Promote technology adoption and digital workflow efficiency among staff.


Leadership & Strategy

  • Contribute to organizational development initiatives and strategic planning.
  • Ensure effective team management by guiding and mentoring team leads, staff, and interns, fostering a collaborative, professional, and high-performing work environment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations of staff, providing constructive feedback and supporting professional growth.
  • Demonstrate communicative leadership by fostering effective team communication, collaborating with interdisciplinary and direct teams, and contributing insights in management meetings to support data-driven decisions.
  • Maintain an accurate clinical team roster with timely updates on employment status, while monitoring team size, resource availability, and changes to support efficient staffing and operational needs.


Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Psychology, Behavioral Health, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in behavioral health operations, clinical coordination, or program management.
  • Strong understanding of New Jersey behavioral health regulations, including therapeutic service frameworks.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and case management platforms.

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and healthcare technology tools.
