Overview:
Phoenix Medical Psychiatric Hospital is currently searching for a Registered Dietitian (RD, RDN) to serve our patients and staff on a contracted, part-time, on-site basis. This position offers tremendous flexibility at 10-15 hours per week. The dietitian will be an independent contractor and will receive $40/hour. The dietitian will provide nutritional assessments and consults as ordered by the attending providers and would also need to review and sign off on patient menus once monthly.

The Registered Dietitian (RD) will:
- Perform nutrition assessments and develop nutrition care plans using the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Nutrition Care Process.
- Assess patients for nutritional status and provide interventions and treatments including diet therapy, counseling or specialized nutrition supplements.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff and ancillary services such as speech pathology or physical therapy
Education: Bachelor of Science in food, nutrition, diet therapy and/or dietetics.
Experience: Prefer one-year prior healthcare experience in a hospital setting; previously experience with psychiatric patients a plus
Licensure: Currently licensed in the state of Arizona as a Registered Dietitian; Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association
