What are the responsibilities and job description for the Strategic Account Manager position at New Age Logistics?
Are you interested working with the largest asset-based drayage provider in the US? We are seeking a Strategic Account Manager to join the team in Lakeland, Florida!
Essential Job Duties
- Increase volume with existing accounts through rigorous follow-up and monitoring
- Develop and expand modalities (method in which goods are transported)
- Proactively enhance and maintain relationships with each account; anticipate customer needs, resolve any hurdles, and develop sales strategies to capitalize on opportunities
- Build strategic relationships with Agents (Customer Partners)
- Prepare and present slide decks and quarterly reviews
- Work in collaboration with operational coworkers to ensure customers’ needs are met or exceeded
- Participate in weekly sales meetings
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of 3PL Transportation industry experience, in an Account Management role
- Thorough multi-modal understanding
- Well versed in diverse customer business models
- Ability to quickly pivot from one task to another, while remaining calm under pressure
- Optimistic, compassionate, influential, self-motivated, team player
- Analytical, consultative, and solutions-driven personality
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 15%
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong typing skills and technically savvy
- Ability to read, speak, write, and understand English in a professional manner
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or related field
- Project Management certification
- Drayage experience
