What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard position at New Albany Country Club?

The New Albany Country Club is seeking highly motivated and responsible individuals to join our team as lifeguards. This part-time hourly position will play a key role in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our indoor pool for both members and guests. The ideal candidate will have strong swimming skills, excellent communication and customer service skills, and the ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings and weekends. Compensation & Benefits:

The compensation for this position is $15 per hour, paid biweekly. In addition to the hourly rate, you will have the opportunity to work in a beautiful, upscale country club setting and gain valuable lifeguarding experience. We offer free employee meals.

Responsibilities:

- Monitor the pool area and maintain a safe and clean environment at all times
- Proactively prevent accidents and respond quickly and effectively in the event of an emergency
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure the safety of all guests
- Provide excellent customer service to members and guests, responding to their needs and inquiries
- Maintain accurate records of pool usage and incident reports
- Attend mandatory training and staff meetings as required
- Perform daily tasks such as testing pool water and cleaning pool deck and furniture
- Assist with pool events and activities as needed
- Communicate any issues or concerns to pool management in a timely manner

Requirements:

- Must be at least 16 years old
- Current lifeguard and CPR/first aid certification
- Strong swimming skills and ability to perform rescues as needed
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
