New Beginnings for Life is looking for a full-time (40 hours) Group Home Assistant Manager responsible for case management for individuals with disabilities and management of staff and schedule. Approximately 20 hours spent doing direct support and 20 hours assisting with office tasks. Qualified candidates must be flexible and energetic and must be able to multitask efficiently.
Qualified candidates must have experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and behavioral needs and be willing to provide direct care to any participant in the program in the event that coverage can not be found. Qualified candidates must be self-motivated and knowledgeable about DDS guidelines and individualized programming.
This position may require you to work evening/weekends, as needed.
This position may require use of personal car to transport clients (mileage reimbursed)
This position is eligible for 401K

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (not limited to):
· Complete all in house orientation completely and make sure staff understand expectations
· Check in with new staff after first week to see if they have any questions and follow up with them
· Varying hours to do occasional shift checks to make sure all is well
· Supervising fire drills when necessary 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts accordingly
· Time sheets and billing sheets completed and ready for managers double check on Friday
· Weekly checks of books marking with names of staff for any holes, also end of month going
through paperwork ensuring all data matches what is written, and all behavior documentation
matches what was written
· Organizing all books ensuring all papers and copies are in place and it’s all in good condition
· Following up with all staff to ensure they are doing their shift assignments and if they have any
concerns assigning extra shift assignments accordingly to staff as necessary
· Ensure that the vehicle checklist is complete, mileage forms are in and the car is clean.
· Assist with completing the weekly schedule.
· Covering shifts when necessary 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts.
· Ensure there’s a designated person to do meds during med time.
· Ordering meds and med supplies
· Going over money book weekly ensuring money and receipts match up and running total of
monies in house is correct
· Being an added resource for all staffing needs and concerns as needed, resolving any peer to
peer conflicts
· On call as needed and handling all call outs and issues that might arise on shifts accordingly
· Assisting with gathering info or documents for IP, PRC and URR as requested by manager.
· QSR Audits (Our auditor may provide assistance)
· Perform staff meetings quarterly or as needed
· Perform house training read and signs
· In charge of individual health needs (appointments, updates, meds, etc)
· Attend IP and Q2 Meetings
· Maintaining healthy communicating with families and ensuring their needs are met
· Overall oversight of the needs of the house, the individuals supported, and the team
· Maintaining documents for home safety protocols and procedures
· Update EFS and Red Books
· Disciplinary actions
· Individual body checks (weekly)
· Maintain DDS mandated trainings including CPR/First Aid, PMT, Abuse & Neglect, HIPAA, etc.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Knowledge of individualized planning for people with differing abilities
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and adequate typing skills
- Experience using G-Mail, Google Calendar, and Google Drive
- Ability to memorize medical, behavioral, and programming guidelines for multiple individuals and implement them effectively
- Ability to flex schedule to fit the needs of the program
- Experience analyzing data, writing reports, and presenting at team meetings
- Ability to work well as part of a team
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a current driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Current CPR/First Aid, PMT, & DDS Medication Administration Certifications (preferred)
- Ability to pass criminal history background check, DMV record check, Abuse & Neglect Registry Check, and Sex Offender Registry Check
- Experience managing staff/staffing schedules
