Position Summary:
Responsible for the proper decontamination, inspection, assembly and sterilization of surgical instruments. Operate processing equipment. Proficient in instrument decontamination and assembly and will be aware of the sterilization methods available and which is appropriate in correlation with the devices that are to be processed.
Essential Position Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent required.
- CRCST or CBSPDT certification required.
Skills and Abilities:
1. Ability to set priorities.
2. Ability to take direction from others and provide information that is clear, concise and promotes efficiency on the unit.
3. Ability to communicate well with Physicians, co-workers, etc.
4. Ability to demonstrate flexibility with assignments and schedule.
