$2000.00 Sign-on Bonus for Full-time Day Care Teacher
(prorated for less than 40 hours)
We are seeking passionate and dedicated teachers to join our on-site early learning program that serves our staff’s children. As part of our team, you will:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate and individualized curriculum (to include: daily schedule, environment activities, and teacher-child interaction), which supports the school philosophy and developmental milestones of the child.
- Have direct supervision of children’s activities (indoors/outdoors) and routine care of all children, including diapering/toileting, handwashing, nose wiping, face cleaning, changing clothes as needed, etc.
- Establish trusting and supportive relationships with parents
- Prepare anecdotal records for parent conferences
- Complete accurate and timely daily reports for parents; verbal and written (HiMamma App)
- Be familiar with the health care policy and evacuation procedures of the school
- Assume an equal share of the joint housekeeping responsibilities of the staff
- Maintain confidentiality of information related to children, families, and staff
Skills & Qualifications
- Serve as a role model in the areas of problem-solving, professional conduct and attitude, classroom management, and appropriate practice in guiding children’s behavior.
- Participate in a collaborative, team approach working to create and maintain an equitable work environment
- EEC Teacher qualifications preferred (minimum of 3 credits in Child Growth and Development and 9 months experience)
- Prior classroom experience working with young children is required.
- CPR certification (child, adult, and AED) or CPR training completion through NECC within 6 months of employment
- High School Diploma or equivalent
