What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant to the Management Division position at New England College?

This on-campus position provides administrative support to the Management Division at the undergraduate, graduate, and online levels, and with accreditation efforts for Academic Affairs.


Essential Duties Summary
  • Provide general office support such as greeting and directing faculty, students and visitors;
  • Establish and maintain shared drive folders;
  • Organize and manage academic and program records for faculty and adjunct instructors;
  • Process student internship, direct and independent study contracts;
  • Take meeting minutes, monitor and track weekly budget reports, and assist with special projects and research;
  • Enter data in Banner and create reports as needed;
  • Assist in events for students and faculty on campus, remotely and online: Spotlight on Students Day, Student Awards Night, Graduate Student events, Commencement; Admission events, Executive Residencies, Shark Tank streaming, Professional Development training;
  • Handle phone and Zoom calls, photocopying, mailing, and ordering textbook materials and office supplies for the division;
  • Process purchase orders, check requests, and reimbursement requests for all the budgets that the division oversees;
  • Coordinate and maintain systems for collecting data in each program area and other elements that can inform the decision-making process for the Division, Programs, and College;


Required Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree, required; Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
  • Relevant clerical and administrative experience;
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and take initiative;
  • Exemplary customer service skills;
  • Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
  • Ability to efficiently multitask and prioritize;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Salary : $32,900 - $41,700
