Orthopedic Technician (Casting)
New England Orthopedic Surgeons, a region leading orthopedic private practice is recruiting a Cast Technician. This is a great position for a medical assistant, DME Specialist or Athletic Trainer. In this position the right candidate will apply and remove casts, splints, braces and a variety of orthopedic supplies in accordance with physician's instructions. They will also remove dressings, sutures and staples; apply dressings; assist provider with application of complex casts.
Qualifications include experience with cast application and removal, experience in fitting various kinds of braces related to sports medicine and foot/hand care preferred.
Minimum requirements: High School Diploma/GED
Preferred: two years experience in the applications of all orthopedic casts and braces.
