What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Intern position at New Hampshire Art Association?
NHAA's summer intern will work directly with the Executive Director on exhibitions, programming, events, and special projects as needed. Interested applicants should email their resume to emily@nhartassociation.org.
Responsibilities
- Exhibitions - learn and gain hands-on experience in exhibition design, art installation, artist communication, and lighting
- Gallery Management- shadow the E.D. to learn about volunteer management, fundraising, membership, art sales, and event planning. Summer interns will also be responsible for coordinating volunteer efforts at our sister gallery in Prescott Park, The Gallery at Sheafe.
- Graphic Design and Writing - put your skills into action with mentorship from the E.D. and other staff
- Curation - Select opportunities to work with exhibition jurors and shadow NHAA curatorial team
Qualifications
Internships are open to college students actively pursuing a career in visual arts, graphic design, arts administration, or museum studies.
