Employment Type: Full-time, for the 2024 - 2025 school year
St. Charles School is seeking an Elementary Classroom Teacher to join our dedicated team for the upcoming school year. The Elementary Classroom Teacher will be responsible for teaching a multi-grade classroom with a maximum of 6 students ranging from grades K-3. Our school provides academic, social, emotional, and behavioral services in a therapeutic setting, and we are committed to supporting children with challenging behaviors and social/emotional issues.
Responsibilities:
· Teach classes at the elementary school level, following the general education curriculum approved for our school.
· Provide specialized instruction, adapting the curriculum to the needs of each student as defined in the Individualized Education Program (IEP).
· Evaluate students' academic progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
· Assist the Special Education Coordinator with some Special Education tasks as needed.
· Cultivate a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom conducive to academic and emotional growth.
Requirements
· Possession of a current New Hampshire teacher's certificate and K-3, K-6 or K-8 certification, or ability to become certified.
· Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from an accredited educational program preferred.
