What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Care-Partner position at New Heights Assisted Living?
Overview
Recently awarded a nationwide award for Best Care in Senior Living, New Heights is looking to fill the Residential Care-Partner position. This position provides care for our 6 residents at our small bed AFC home while working three 12-hour shifts a week. You would be joining a team of long-standing staff who have worked at New Heights for years, so we are looking for just the right gem to finish out our team. We believe giving care to a select few produces more quality of living for both our seniors and our staff! The duties include but are not limited to assisting in daily dressing, cooking, bathing, facilitating activities, and cleaning. Most importantly the Care-Partner position provides love, life, and safety to our senior population who are in need of 24 hour care. We only seek people for the position who truly have the heart to make a difference as we are a very active home that goes the extra mile to produce very enriched days!
Qualifications
- Long-term care experience in home and community settings
- Proficient in personal care and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Knowledge of resident's rights and senior care best practices
- Certification in First Aid and CPR
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's, and memory care
- Strong communication and caregiving skills, with a focus on compassion and empathy
