What are the responsibilities and job description for the PreKindergarten Teacher (Long-Term Substitute) position at New Hingham Regional Elementary School?
The PreKindergarten Teacher Long-Term Substitute is the school’s primary agent for instruction with responsibility for presenting the curriculum effectively and employing a variety of developmentally-appropriate learning strategies to meet the students’ needs and interests. The position will last for approximately twelve (12) weeks beginning in August and ending in late November or early December.
Primary Responsibilities:
-Develop and provide standards-based lessons utilizing the school’s elementary curricula.
-Use a variety of informal and formal methods of assessments to measure student learning, growth, and understanding.
-Utilize instructional practices that reflect high expectations regarding content and quality of effort and work, engage all students, and are personalized to accommodate diverse learning styles, needs, interests, and levels of readiness.
-Create and maintain a safe and collaborative learning environment.
-Promote the learning and growth of all students through two-way communication with families.
