Patient Access Officer
Thomasville, GA l Temp to Perm l $12.00 - $15.00 / Hour
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Access Officer to join a Women’s Health Clinic. The Patient Access Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless patient experiences by managing patient registration, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and providing exceptional customer service. This position is ideal for individuals with strong organizational skills, a compassionate demeanor, and a commitment to patient care.
Responsibilities
- Greets patients and visitors with a courteous, polite and helpful attitude
- Answer inquiries or refer questions to appropriate staff member
- Schedules, coordinates, and reschedules patient appointments as needed
- Maintains and updates current information on provider schedules ensuring that patients are scheduled properly
- Registers patient in computer; obtains current demographic and insurance information as necessary. Scans in photo ID and current insurance card(s) into computer system
- Verifies insurance eligibility for patients prior to their appointment
- Generates appropriate paperwork / requests for outside services
- Determines financial status of patients.
- Collects any insurance co-pays or account payments and posts to appropriate account
- Alerts appropriate staff member if patient needs an unscheduled service (injection, labwork, etc.)
- Maintain and report statistics as required
- Assists ill or distraught patients as necessary.
- Telephones transit services or family members for transportation, as necessary
- Maintains reception area in a neat and orderly condition at all times
- Maintains forms and office supplies required for front desk activities
- Opens office at beginning of day and closes office at end of day
- Have all front desk activities fully operational at the start of business hours
- Perform related work as necessary

Location : Thomasville, GA
Pay Range : $12.00 - $15.00 / Hour
Schedule : Monday – Thursday 8 : 00AM – 5 : 00PM, Friday 8 : 00AM – 3 : 00PM
