Director of Early Childhood
Essential Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a love for God and His creation

- Demonstrate excellence in a co-teaching classroom model
- Assist in creating a classroom culture that is warm and friendly, full of joy, curiosity, and care
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing curriculum and lessons that are engaging and standards
aligned
- Assist the lead teacher with student assessment and data collection
- Demonstrate a commitment to being a team player, effectively collaborating with the grade level
team, other early childhood faculty and administration
- Holds high expectations for every student and faithfully works to foster student development and
achievement
- Possess knowledge of play-based learning as well as the Tennessee Early Learning Developmental
Standards
- Deliver whole group math instruction as well as focused small group instruction
- Possess and demonstrate knowledge of social and emotional development in early
childhood
- Possess a strong content knowledge of emerging literacy and numeracy
- Support the leads standard of classroom behavior and assist in maintaining classroom culture
- Demonstrate a commitment of utilizing higher-order questioning and thinking strategies with
students
- Demonstrate a commitment to personal, professional, and spiritual growth
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years old or older
- Strong background in early childhood instruction
- Must be physically and mentally able to perform the responsibilities and duties of the position
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood, Education or a related field.
- At least two (2) years of relevant teaching experience in a formal setting
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills
- High energy level and highly relational
- Possess a willingness to work collaboratively and creatively with lead teachers, other assistant
teachers, and grade level team
- Self-motivated and passionate about overall student development

Salary : $29,900 - $37,900
