Job Summary
Cleans equipment, utensils, walls, floors, ceilings and exterior grounds of the facility.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
Responsible for disassembling, cleaning and re-assembling all equipment assigned. Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping in work area and adjoining areas at all times. Responsible for maintaining good safety practices at all times. Responsible for maintaining facility in compliance with all internal and external requirements to produce safe, legal and quality food. May be responsible for checking and maintaining interior and external pest control devices.
Specific Responsibilities Relating to Food Safety, Legality and Quality
- Properly uses cleaning chemicals as specified on manufacturers label
- Properly reads, comprehends and completes required forms
- Conducts post cleaning evaluations to ensure equipment is ready for production
- Reports and takes necessary action to prevent food safety, legality and quality problems from occurring.
- Follows and enforces programs and procedures outlined in the Food Safety and Quality Manual to support compliance with the approved GFSI certification standard and other third-party audits.
Abilities Required
Able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs. Able to climb extension ladder and work at heights. Able to maneuver and work in confined spaces with variations in temperature, humidity and air quality. Able to lift and hold objects overhead for extended periods of time. Able to stand and/or stoop for the full shift. Able to communicate and work effectively with all employees. Able to follow written and verbal instructions in a timely manner. Able to be forklift certified.
