What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at New Hudson Facades?
Keeps equipment and support systems operating by completing preventive maintenance requirements; training production operators; may supervise staff. Performs preventive maintenance activities to repair and maintain plant. Supports internal customers by responding to repair calls and resolving problems using appropriate equipment and processes. Under direct supervision performs basic repair and maintenance of off-line equipment. Complies with safety, building, security and environmental codes and regulations.
Role and Responsibilities:
Complete Preventive Maintenance on equipment throughout facility including but not limited to-vacuum glass lifters, silicone pumps, and production machines.
Support facility by maintaining and repairing equipment both in shop and on production floor
Troubleshoots problems by observing equipment in operation
Perform trouble calls assigned by supervisor
Monthly safety inspections of various areas throughout facility assigned by supervisor.
Perform small drywall/paint repairs throughout facility
Perform small electrical repairs in office area including LED bulbs and drivers
Controls down-time by carrying-out preventive maintenance requirements; responding to and repairing malfunctions; coordinating schedules with production planning.
Repairs and rebuilds parts by providing machining capabilities.
Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Maintains production equipment by training production operators to use and maintain tools and equipment.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
Accomplishes production maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Physical Requirements:
Applicants must be able to perform repetitive lifting and other physically demanding tasks.
Ability to move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Proven experience as maintenance technician.
Electrical and / or welding experience preferred.
Basic knowledge in plumbing/compressed air.
Highschool diploma or equivalent required; Certificate in building maintenance technology or relevant field preferred.
