Clinical Position
Position: Medical Assistant: Neuro Technician
Reports to: Dr. Chris Winfrey
Purpose and Aim
To administer EEG’s and TMS treatment to patients. Assess, plan, and implement clinical care for patients as well as patient education. To provide clinical support functions associated with claims processing, payment, and revenue generation for New Image Wellness. This position supports the growth of New Image Wellness through collaboration with clinical, administrative, and clerical personnel associated with providing healthcare services to our patients and clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
General Patient Care:
- Deliver direct patient care within the scope of certification and in accordance with New Image Wellness policy
- Ensure proper preparation for patient visits
- Obtains vital signs: BP, temp, pulse, height & weight accurately and completely as required
- Maintain efficient patient flow
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Communicate to the Medical Director any issues or adverse effects patients experience.
- Additional tasks as assigned
- Document patient visits and track patient progress via electronic medical records.
- Effectively communicate problems, concerns or issues to the Office Supervisor/Manager appropriately and promptly
- Manage supply inventory and advise Office Manager of supply needs
Charting:
- Review and update medication list in EHR
- Accurately and completely document known allergies in EHR
TMS and EEG Recording:
- Administer EEG recording and TMS treatment to patients
- Exercise proper care and maintenance of coil and TMS machines
- Provide proper care and maintenance of EEG caps
- Ensure all coils are kept within operational temperature ranges at all times.
- Update EEG cap board when any issues arise
- Provide appropriate and educated responses to patients and families questions or concerns regarding treatment
Administer IV Therapy to deliver our menu of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
Ability to draw blood and facilitate transport to a laboratory
Prepare LDI dilution and assist in care and treatment of patient allergies.
New Image Wellness Compliance Responsibilities
- Understand and adhere to New Image Wellness compliance standards as they appear in the New Image Wellness Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies
- Keep abreast of all pertinent federal, state, and New Image Wellness regulations, laws, and policies as they presently exist and as they are modified
- Comply with HIPAA and Confidentiality Policies and Procedures as they apply to the job
- Comply with accreditation and regulatory agencies' standards
- Adhere to all New Image Wellness Policies and Procedures
Job Requirements

- BLS certification required
- Certification by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologies preferred
- CCMA Certification preferred
- Experience with an EMR system
- 1 year of MA or EEG experience required

TMS & EEG
- Ability to learn and use TMS & Deymed Software to record patient notes during treatment
- Ability to learn & administer EEG’s using supplies as directed
- Ability to lift (coil) and maneuver in certain positions while treating challenging patients
- Ability to hold the coil on a patient's head for a minimum of 60 seconds.
- Able to stand on your feet for up to 30 minutes at a time
Additional Medical Skills:
- Ability to start and maintain an IV and administer fluids
Knowledgeable in medical terminology; understanding of health insurance processes including government/payer regulations
Computer
- Very proficient with computer systems and spreadsheets including Microsoft Office and Google Operations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.98 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
