SALARY:  The salary range for this position is $65,922.62 to $114,456.18 for Schedule A, and $65,922.62 to $108,733.37 for Schedule B.  For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Judiciary employees hired prior to June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule A. Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule B.

REMOTE WORKThe Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.

The Camden Vicinage Finance Division is seeking a creative thinker with excellent decision-making, interpersonal and leadership skills. Under the general direction of the Court Executive 2B (Finance Division Manager) and Court Executive 1B (Assistant Finance Division Manager), the successful candidate will use their Human Resources, Total Quality Management and planning and evaluating skills to develop, implement and monitor internal controls, policies and procedures of the Court Held Funds unit. Responsibilities also include allocating resources (human, financial, materials and equipment); assign, regulate and review work duties; define objectives for work performance for staff; recommend personnel actions such as hiring, promoting and discipline; conduct formal work performance evaluations; advise management on deadlines, rules or regulation updates and related information; answer questions posed by the public, other customers, staff or management; participate in statewide committees; and perform other duties as required.

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree including or supplemented by 21 credits hours in accounting, business administration, economics, public administration and/or finance.  Twelve of these credit hours must be in accounting and three years of professional experience, one year of which shall have included experience in accounting, auditing, budgeting, cash management and/or financial analysis.

Education Note: An official college or university transcript is required. An official or unofficial transcript may be submitted at the time of application to determine an applicant’s eligibility. If an applicant is invited to interview, an official transcript must be submitted by the date of the interview.

Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education, but do possess the required 21 credit hours in accounting, business administration, economics, public administration, and/or finance, including 12 accounting credit hours, may substitute paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis. A master's degree may be substituted for one year of general experience as indicated above –OR– a CPA designation may be substituted for one year of general experience as indicated above.

Driver's License:  Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.

Authorization to Work:  US citizenship is not required.  Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.

Special Note:  Newly hired employees must agree to a thorough background check that will include fingerprinting. All data received will be kept in strict confidence except to inform the individual of the findings and what action will be taken as a result of this information.

Residency Law:  Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), also known as the "New Jersey First Act," all persons newly hired by the Judiciary must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey.
