GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Under direction and close supervision of a supervisory officer at Greystone Pyschiatric Hospital , will receives on-the-job training
and instruction and perform paraprofessional and manual duties involved in the treatment and care of patients or residents who
require medical security.
Will perform a variety of duties to provide for physical well-being and care of patients or residents in an assigned ward, area, or
building. Will escort patients or residents to treatment, therapy, recreation, vocational, educational, and religious programs or to
meals, wards, or rooms. May participate in educational, vocational, and other therapeutic activities.
Will maintains order and discipline within the hospital and on the grounds. Inspects windows, windows bars, electrical
equipment, heating, screens, beds, and other fixtures for security purposes and reports all irregularities to the supervisor. May
search patients or residents.
NOTE: Internal employees in a classified competitive title are eligible to file.
REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / LICENSES)
AGE: Minimum age of 18 years.
LICENSE: Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather
than employee mobility, is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.
