Position Summary:
Design and development of deployable instrument platform. Namely, design, construct and test a ruggedized instrument platform system (including power systems) for use in Antarctica.
Essential Functions:
Design and fabrication of ruggedized instrument platform and other duties as required. Novel design or adoption of a power system for the platform, suitable for continuous operations in Antarctica.
Prerequisite Qualifications:
- Background in engineering with a minimum BSc in engineering or equivalent. Experience in design and fabrication.
- At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
