New Jersey Resources is seeking a Manager Financial Planning and Analysis. This key finance business partner is responsible for the preparation and design of a multi-year driver-based budget and rolling forecasts for several of the company’s business units and the Corporation as a whole, including scenario and variance analysis. Lead associated budgeting and forecasting processes and generate forecasted consolidated financial statements. Responsible for business performance reporting and in-depth analysis of strategic initiatives on an as needed basis. Major Responsibilities:• Design and maintain consolidated and business units’ annual budget and multi-year forecasts using the company’s enterprise planning software• Maintain and enhance the consolidated corporate forecasting and budgeting models, processes and functions• Analyze monthly financial statements and projected financial results, highlighting risks and opportunities• Lead the development and maintenance of the Company’s financial management reports and KPIs, including the highlighting of trends and sources of variance• Works closely with our business unit leaders and managers throughout the organization to analyze business cases, strategic initiatives and translating financial results into insights for users; prepare senior management and board-level reports and presentations• Assist the finance department and budget managers with controlling costs and driving value throughout the organizationPosition Specifications• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics or another quantitative field• Minimum of ten years of progressive financial experience and management experience required; previous utility or energy industry experience a plus• Advanced Excel skills• Ability to both model and troubleshoot existing financial forecasts, budgets and projections• Ability to provide insightful variance analysis and recommendations• Proficient with TM1 or other Enterprise Reporting Tools; ability to recommend ways to maximize efficiency and effectiveness through enhanced used of software• Ability to manage a team to deliver a variety of financial and business analyses• Ability to develop productive relationships with internal business unit and departmental leaders• Ability to handle multiple projects at once and work in a team environment• Excellent verbal and written communication skills* This job description is reflective of the primary duties of this position and in no way limits the supervisor from assigning any other duties, responsibilities or initiatives as deemed necessary.New Jersey Resources is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
