Kindergarten Aide

Position: Kindergarten Instructional Aide 

Pay: $18.00/hour | Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM 

As Nazareth School – San Diego’s Kindergarten Aide, you will create an engaging, nurturing, and supportive learning environment that fosters academic, social, and spiritual growth. This role involves implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with California State Standards and diocese Religion Standards, nurturing a love for learning while integrating Catholic values.  

What You’ll Do as a Kindergarten Aide: 

• Support classroom teachers with tasks like supervising students, checking homework, and recording grades. 

• Facilitate small group activities, supervise recess and lunch, and assist with technology and assessments. 

• Coordinate hot lunch distribution, deliver meals, and maintain order during lunch. 

• Supervise students in Extended Care, manage check-ins/outs, distribute snacks, and communicate with parents. 

• Attend support staff meetings and communicate student concerns to teachers or the Principal. 

What You’ll Need to Succeed as a Kindergarten Aide: 

• Experience working with school-age children (preferred, not required). 

• Strong organizational and communication skills. 

• A proactive attitude and ability to collaborate with teachers and staff. 

• A commitment to creating a safe and engaging environment for students. 

• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Hourly Rate: $18/hour
