What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bilingual Youth Care Worker position at New Life Foster Family Agency?
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
Under the direct supervision of the Office Manager, the Youth Care Worker provides line-of-sight assistance to several departments, often filling in gaps when children's supervision is needed.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent degree and a minimum of 1 year of employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents.
Possession of a valid state driver’s license. Attainment of at least 21 years of age.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1) Assist with bathroom breaks.
2) Additional 1 on 1 child supervision as needed.
3) Assist with supervising children at lunch.
4) Assist with supervising children during PE and recreational activities.
5) Assist with tender-age minors.
6) Assist with supervising sponsor visits.
7) Assist with children’s phone calls.
8) Add children’s phone calls to the call log.
9) Assist with a line of sight during transports.
10) Assist with clinical groups as needed.
11) Assist BX Specialists with breaks as needed.
12) Assist BX Specialists with uploading files as needed.
13) Inform BX Specialists when supplies are needed.
14) Escort children to and from the Medical Coordinator’s office.
15) Assist with purchasing emergency clothing for new intakes.
16) Assist with cleaning and organizing playrooms and inform the supervisor if recreation items are needed.
17) Greet visitors while in the reception area.
18) Assist with children upon arrival/departure in the reception area.
19) Assist with lice checks.
20) Always maintain a line of sight.
21) Other duties may be assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per year
