Job Duties and Responsibilities
The person in this position will be responsible for planning and coordinating fiscal and operational activities of programs, projects and/or funded activities for the Digital Learning department. The programs/projects/activities will be related to the implementation of NMSU Global Campus and other areas in development for the Digital Learning department. The Project Manager will also provide administrative support in the development, implementation, and management of this work. They will collaborate with Digital Learning administrators in assembling project teams, assigning individual team member responsibilities, and developing project schedules. The Project Manager will be responsible for identifying and acquiring resources needed for completing the work in a timely manner. To achieve this, the Project Manager must be willing to become thoroughly acquainted with all the requirements of each program/project/activity they manage. They will also serve as the liaison between the Digital Learning team members and other stakeholders.

Oversees projects. Assembles project teams, assigns individual responsibilities, develops project schedules and is responsible for determining and acquiring resources needed. Must be familiar with the entire scope and requirements of project(s) and serves as liaison between team members and functional area management requesting project.
Classification Standard Duties
Manages, coordinates, and facilitates projects or phases of a large or complex project. Develops integrated project plans and implementation schedules. May supervise or provide functional direction to staff and/or student employees. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge
Knowledge and understanding of principles, procedures, regulations, and standards applicable to the job. Understanding of the University’s mission, vision and goals.

Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Required Experience
Two (2) years of experience directly related to the standard duties as outlined.
Equivalency Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience as approved by Human Resource Services.
