The Speech-Language Pathologist conducts detailed assessments and analysis for all individuals on caseload annually, or as required, to determine dysphagia management and communication needs. This person is an Interdisciplinary Team Member who is required to participate in monthly review meetings, individual life plan meetings, special team meetings, and develop/monitor dining/communication plans/learning objectives, as well as assist individuals with the transition process into the community. In addition, this person will participate in teaching new employee orientation for dysphagia and communication. The Speech-Language Pathologist will also have the opportunity to complete inpatient/outpatient (specialty intermediate care clinic) direct treatments with necessary documentation/billing.
Requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorder program
• Licensed by the Kentucky Board of Licensure and Certification for Speech-Language Pathology, and American Speech Language Hearing Association for Certificate of Clinical Competence
• Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
• Ability to meet criminal background, drug screening, and COVID-19 vaccine standards
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, reliable operating transportation and proof of current auto insurance
