What are the responsibilities and job description for the Herbarium Digitization Intern position at New York Botanical Garden?
The Herbarium Digitization Intern is a temporary full time position and will assist with specimen digitization as part of a grant-funded projects
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Capture digital images of specimens
- Transcribe specimen data from digital images into database
- Handle (select and refile) herbarium specimens
Requirements:
- Course work in Biology, experience with digital photography and herbarium procedures are helpful
- Current undergraduate or graduate student or recent graduate
