Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist/Front Desk Employee to join our team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to ensure smooth operation of the front desk.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction:
- Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
- Answer phone calls promptly and professionally, directing calls to the appropriate personnel.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
- Check patients in and out, ensuring all required forms and documentation are completed accurately.
Administrative Duties:
- Verify patient insurance information and handle patient registration.
- Collect and process patient payments, co-pays, and insurance details.
- Maintain and update patient records in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
- Prepare and manage correspondence, including appointment reminders and follow-up calls.
Office Management:
- Ensure the waiting area and front desk are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, including faxes and deliveries.
- Assist with billing and coding tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is a plus.
- Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role within a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and office procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with EMR systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations with professionalism.
- Bilingual skills are an advantage.

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
