Job Description
The Department of Surgery at Stamford Hospitalseeks an experienced BC/BE general surgeon with fellowship training in surgical critical care to join our Trauma Division. Join a collegial team of 5 surgeons (3 trauma and 2 general) seeking an additional provider due to increased demand for services. This position is 50% Trauma Surgery and 50% General Surgery and includes teaching surgery residents and medical students.
As a Level II trauma center, Stamford Hospital currently has over 800 trauma admissions. The Hospital is a physician-led community academic medical center with comprehensive surgical services in all surgical subspecialties. The Department of Surgery has a free-standing surgical residency program and is affiliated with Columbia University School of Medicine. Responsibilities include trauma care, surgical critical care, general surgery, acute care surgery and teaching surgery residents and students.

Requirements: MD, DO or foreign equivalent, Residency trained in general surgery, fellowship training in Trauma/Critical Care Surgery, Active CT Medical License or the ability to secure on.
