Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership
- Lead and manage the Finance and Accounting departments, providing strategic direction and oversight.
- Serve as a financial advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team on key strategic decisions.
- Oversee payroll operations to ensure accuracy, compliance with federal and state laws, and timely processing.
- Collaborate with HR to optimize payroll systems and benefits integration.
- Drive the company’s financial planning, long-range forecasting, and business performance analysis.
- Develop financial models and tools to support strategic initiatives and scenario planning.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, including coordination with department leaders.
- Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts, and deliver regular reporting and variance analysis to leadership.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in accordance with GAAP (or IFRS, if applicable).
- Prepare and present financial statements and executive dashboards to internal stakeholders and the board of directors.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, tax laws, and financial reporting requirements.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Manage cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, credit lines, and investment strategies.
- Optimize the company’s capital structure and working capital needs.
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance and accounting team.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, integrity, and accountability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
- CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred.
- 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial analysis, and corporate financial management.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Adaptive Insights).
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of influencing at the executive and board levels.
