What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse -- Order Filler -- 2nd Shift position at NewAge Industries Inc?
SUMMARY
- Daily tasks for Order Fillers include filling customer orders, picking product from warehouse shelves and/or pallet racking, packing product, checking product against pick tickets, orders or other documents for accuracy. Prepare all products for shipping. Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, Taylor Dunn’s and other warehouse equipment. Forklift certification not required but recommended. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing over 50 lbs. Capable of standing, walking, bending, lifting and stooping for duration of work hours.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITITES include but is not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Read, understand and follow written instructions and documented procedures.
- Review order/pick ticket amendments for accurate and special information
- Clearly highlight all special and/or information on orders.
- Identify bin locations on pick ticket/order
- Accurately retrieve correct material and quantity for order/ticket
- Verify correct product and quantity was pulled for order/ticket
- Communicate with team leader, sales and/or appropriate department regarding any order discrepancies.
- Complete order documentation including lot numbers, numbers of cartons, and other applicable information.
- Prepare shipments for those customers who require weights and dimensions.
- Provide weight and dimensions to sales and/or obtain package freight quote as necessary.
- Box material in preparation for order verification
- Ensure all products and quantities on order/ticket are checked for accuracy by a different order filler or other experienced warehouse personnel
- Complete the packaging of all checked orders/tickets while ensuring packaging stability and protection from damage. Seal the boxes for shipping
- Label all cartons with correct identification and order information
- Safe operation of forklifts, reach trucks, Taylor Dunn’s and other warehouse equipment
- Understand basic inventory and stock procedures.
- Inventory rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out)
- Process UPS/FedEx orders using Microsoft Nav.
- Daily teamwork and collaboration
