Regional site support is provided through Newmont Asia Pacific’s (APAC) Perth team which is located in modern offices in Subiaco where we provide support to operations in Australia and Indonesia.
Purpose
Reporting to the General Manager, Operations Services the Director Asset Management will provide expert technical advice to all Australian operations and support functions in Asset Management related disciplines. You will ensure alignment between corporate, regional and site Asset Management functions, fostering communication between all relevant stakeholders
Some Key Accountabilities
- Ensure a consistent regional approach for Asset Management, including compliance to corporate standards and policies
- Identify areas for performance improvement across Australian operations and in consultation with relevant personnel develop and support plans for capture of these opportunities.
- Provide the conduit for consistent application of global initiatives in Asset Management practices across Australian operations.
- Identify and support recruitment and development of talent in Asset Management
- Represent Newmont's interest with key external parties, including regulators, industry groups and suppliers.
Skills & Experience
- University degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field
- 15 years post graduate experience in mining and processing operations with increasing responsibility in Asset Management and managerial roles.
- 5 years in a senior operational management position
- Strong knowledge of safety, technical, health and environmental regulations.
- Expert knowledge in Asset Management systems and specialised maintenance techniques
- Demonstrated experience in project management and execution.
