JOB DESCRIPTION: The duties for this position include co-anchoring and reporting for weeknight newscasts. Daily work includes anchoring, reporting, writing, posting to digital platforms and copyediting. Employee may be called upon to produce from time-to-time as well as do live reporting, web reporting, social media posting and other duties as assigned.
SKILLS: The right candidate must be an effective communicator, strong writer, enterprising reporter, proficient with social media and have a professional on-camera appearance. In today’s multi-media newsroom, the successful candidate will have the skills to do a wide variety of tasks and a willingness to take on different responsibilities as needed.
HOURS/SCHEDULE: This is a full-time position, scheduled Monday thru Friday from 2:00pm – 11:00pm with flexibility required by the employee.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION: Two-years of on-air news experience are preferred along with a bachelor degree in journalism, communication or a related field.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: The position will require operation of a company vehicle or a personal vehicle for business use. Candidate must have a valid Missouri driver’s license and pass a drug test and background check.
