Role Description
The Music Minister will lead and oversee the music and worship ministry of Newton Baptist Church. This full-time, on-site role in Covington, GA involves planning and leading worship services, directing choirs and music teams, organizing rehearsals, and collaborating with church staff to create meaningful worship experiences. The Music Minister will also work to develop and mentor musical talents within the church community and ensure that all music aligns with the church’s mission and values.
Qualifications
- Strong skills and experience in Music Ministry, Worship Music, and Church Music
- Proficiency in Music and expertise in playing musical instruments such as organ
- Ability to inspire and lead choirs, musicians, and volunteers in a church setting
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Passion for spiritual growth and delivering Christ-centered worship experiences
- Relevant educational background or equivalent experience in music or worship ministry is a plus
