Role :
The Senior Benefits Administrator position is responsible for administering the day-to-day
operations of group benefits programs (group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term
disability, life insurance, retirement plans, etc.). This position provides excellent customer service
and communication of benefits plans. The Senior Benefits Administrator maintains employee
benefits records, ensuring compliance with Federal / State / Local rules and regulations.

Responsibilities
Administers the organization's employee benefits program, which includes insurancepolicies such as health, life, and disability
Oversees daily benefits processing utilizing the UKG Pro / PlanSource HRIS systemEnsures completion of enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, rollovers, distributions, loans, and hardships, etc.Designs and updates UKG Pro / PlanSource Benefits Administration portal for all benefit plansDistributes materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment, and summary plan descriptionsProvides training, as needed, and support to group benefits associates, home officeassociates, and the field staff
Oversees processing of electronic enrollment forms for employees who wish to enroll in benefit programs including but not limited to Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability, etc.Provides customer service support to internal and external customersDevelops communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's benefitspackage
Processes group health claims and payments weekly for the self-insured medical programServes as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administratorsParticipates in the annual benefit renewal in conjunction with the insurance broker and various vendorsMonitors administrative costs of benefits programs and recommends cost containment strategies, including alternative methods for administration and fundingAssists in preparing budgetary recommendations and assists in the monitoring, verifying, and reconciling of budgeted fundsCoordinates transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums, and plan administrationEvaluates and revises internal processes to improve efficiencyDocuments and maintains administrative procedures for assigned benefits processes SOP'sEnsures compliance with applicable government regulationsEnsures timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and feesSubmits all benefit plan invoices monthly to the finance department for processing andpayment

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Customer service attitude and strong people skillsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite and technical aptitude with the ability to use other Microsoft products, including PowerPoint; experience with HRIS, and benefits databasesExtensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable lawsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational and time management skillsStrong analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of benefit plan designsAbility to understand, evaluate and make judgment on proposals (RFPs)
Passionate problem solverProject and team management / leadership skills and experience.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines
Knowledge of benefits contract languageEducation and Experience :
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or related fieldExperience and / or other training / certification may be substituted for education requirement
Three to five (3-5) years of related benefits or employee benefits administration experienceSHRM-CP or CEBS professional designations preferred.Physical requirements :

Salary : $70,000 - $76,000
